Category 4 - Sexual Impropriety
One week minimum, as many as it takes.
You need 7 consecutive days scoring 3.0 or higher in Sexual Impropriety specifically before the next category opens. If a day drops below that, the count restarts - not as punishment, but because that's genuinely what the number is meant to show: a sustained pattern, not a lucky streak.
"Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their private parts. That is purer for them." - Qur'an 24:30
A full correction here is frequently invisible to everyone but you and, where relevant, the person it involves - ending an ambiguous dynamic outright, deleting rather than keeping, being honest with a partner about something you'd rather leave unsaid. Invisibility doesn't make it optional. Watch the trap on the other side: turning the correction into a confession that demands reassurance, making your discomfort the thing that gets managed instead of the behavior. State it plainly. Don't stage it.
Today's Practice
If a correction is called for today, make it plainly and privately. Resist turning it into a display of how hard this is for you.
Evening Sit + Scoring
10-minute sit. Score.
- 0: Didn't catch it, ran on autopilot.
- 1: Caught it after - retrospective awareness, real but late.
- 2: Caught it during, aware, and kept going anyway - harder to admit than a zero or a one, more useful than either.
- 3: Caught it during and changed course - the target.
- 4: Saw the setup forming and chose differently before it started - rare, and worth noting when it happens.
"Not till the underbrush of desire, even the smallest, is cleared away... is a person free from bondage." - Dhammapada 284
This category is easiest to interrupt in the abstract, with nothing actually tempting in front of you. The real test is the specific context that reliably triggers your pattern - a particular relationship, a particular hour, a particular kind of loneliness. If there's one dynamic you keep leaving ambiguous rather than closing cleanly, that's exactly where this category is still running you.

"Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." - Psalm 51:10
A reset is information, not failure. Watch the other trap just as closely: a clean streak starting to feel like evidence of who you've become, rather than a pattern still being tracked. Pride in the number is the same orientation this stage exists to interrupt, now aimed at the scoreboard.
Today's Practice
If today's streak is strong, notice any pride in it and let it go.

Seven consecutive days at 3.0 or higher in Sexual Impropriety means the pattern is no longer your default. It doesn't mean the category is retired. Once you've held criterion here, the Stage 2 gate opens. All four categories have individually cleared - that's the whole requirement.
